OOTD | in my HOT pants

Hey loves. Soo .. today's Sunday and here's what I wore for the day. Got to bust out my new H&M crop pants. Don't you just love that color ! I accessorized with small dainty jewelry. But yeah, so today I had an idea. I'm thinking about adding a page or a section to my blog. I want it to be music related. What do you guys think ? I'd love some input. AKA Probate weekend

Now, as for my weekend ... I spent most of it studying, being that it is finals week. However I did take some time out on Sunday to experience the Alpha Kappa Alpha Probate. For those that don't know what it is, basically when new sisters (or brothers, for Frats) have went through pledging and everything is said and done they are basically "revealed" to the world in an event called a Probate. Check out some pictures with friends and a video of the prestigious AKA's showing off their stuff !

how to style an oversized shirt

Hey guys, below I show you three simple ways to style oversized shirts without making your body look frumpy and disfigured. Hope you like :)

OUTFIT #1

Tip: Try a peplum skirt. The frilly piece will create a new focal area on your body.

Tuck the shirt and wa-la ! You have the perfect daytime outfit

OUTFIT #2

Tip: Cinch the waist. Here I use a nude belt that blends well with my shirt.

This will create the "tiny waist" effect. Add a pair of pumps for a sexy date outfit.

OUTFIT #3

Tip: Color cohesiveness. Black on black is slimming on any figure.

Add a bright pump or several accessories for a day-to-night outfit.

OOTD | pretty in pink interview chic

Soo .. I had an interview today, *crosses fingers*. I chose to keep it girly yet business-y (not a word.) with skinny black pants and a striped shirt. The soft pink blazer added a girly touch, as well as my favorite black pumps. This simple mix of pieces is just enough for a stylish interview.

OOTD | air jordan retros

I have a love of sneakers too. My favorite being the air jordan retro 8's aka the Aqua 8's. My sense of style is a mix between soft and hard pieces. While my "love is hard" oversized tee could be paired with a dainty skirt, I chose to wear it with some bright cut-off shorts today. The unexpected mix makes a cute statement on its own, then the shoes are the cherry on top.

OOTD | just felt like it

Keepin it simple in jeans and a tank today. Added some color with my teal "everyday" clutch/satchel followed by a simplistic bracelet I recently purchased from target, as well as my "C" ring. I wanted to be comfortable as I'll be traveling back to school this day and car trips can get really uncomfortable quickly ... as we all know. Hope you all enjoyed your weekend too !

Easter Sunday

Don't you just love those faces ! awwww ... ha, so anyway. Today was Easter. I celebrated it with those I like to call my second family, or Godfamily, as well as my brother, sister in law, and nephews. While there isn't much else I can speak on except for mild family arguments, laughing, crying, and Easter eggs, I can say one thing ... Grandma through down ! Meaning, the food was great but the memories are greater.

OOTD | everything isn't black and white

Well it's been quite an interesting day. What began as Easter weekend excitement soon became rainy day woes. Luckily, I was able to snap a couple of pics outside of my outfit for today. My Toms were the perfect shoe to say "I'm stylish, comfortable, and involved in a movement." I hit up the mall, spent some cash, and now I'm currently enjoying the deliciousness below ;-)
